Oh here we go, yet another essential item that we didn’t expect to change our lives… the nursing bra!

When I was pregnant, I truly didn’t pay any mind to getting a nursing bra. Call me crazy, but I thought the hype around them was fake. I was gifted one at my baby shower and low and behold, once I put the dang thing on I never took it off.

Nursing bras are beneficial in so many ways. You need ultimate comfort while breastfeeding, and it’s essential for efficiency. Your breasts develop a whole new life in their duration of breastfeeding. Just finished feeding? They become soft and smaller. Just about ready to feed your little one? They will be swollen and hard.

Nursing bras are designed to keep up with the many changes your breasts face while breastfeeding. They always have comfortable and stretchy fabric (bless!) and provide easy access for baby during feeding time. They adjust with you as your body changes postpartum.

Your breasts may have changed sizes during pregnancy, to find the best fit for you, size yourself before purchasing one. You want to make sure that your bra fits, so that you get the best results.

Nursing bras also accommodate to pumping, every bra comes with hooks on the inside of each cup so you can open the panel for feeding and pumping.

If you are on the fence about getting one, let me tell you, they are worth it. You don’t need any added stress to your breastfeeding journey.

How many nursing bras should you purchase?  It is best to have at least three on hand.

What are the best brands of bras?  There are lots of brands on the market.  Start with brands like Kindred Bravely, Bravado Designs and iLoveSIA.
